ConformIA is an EU AI Act pre-audit platform that helps organizations understand their regulatory exposure in minutes. Classify an AI system by risk level, identify applicable obligations around transparency, documentation, human oversight and governance, and explore the regulation with a specialized AI Act assistant. A practical first step before a deeper legal or compliance audit.
I built ConformIA because I kept seeing the same problem: organizations are adopting AI much faster than they are building the governance needed to use it responsibly and comply with the EU AI Act.
The regulation is comprehensive, but translating hundreds of pages of legal requirements into concrete questions for a real AI system is still difficult for many teams — especially SMEs, startups, product teams and organizations without a dedicated AI compliance department.
ConformIA started with a simple idea: could we make the first AI Act assessment understandable and actionable in a few minutes?
Today, the platform helps users describe an AI use case, assess its potential risk category, identify relevant requirements around transparency, documentation, human oversight and governance, and generate a structured pre-audit report. It also includes a specialized AI Act assistant to help users explore regulatory questions in context.
The approach has evolved significantly during development. Instead of trying to create an “AI lawyer”, I designed ConformIA as a decision-support and pre-audit tool. AI assists with analysis, but the objective is to structure the compliance process and keep humans in the loop — particularly when interpretation, validation or legal expertise is required.
My broader goal is to make AI governance more accessible, especially for organizations that need practical tools to move from “We know the AI Act exists” to “We know what we need to check and what to do next.”
