Hey PH! 👋 I'm Pung, the maker of Collector AI. I love to collect things when I was young, so I built an app about collecting things, but digitally! 😆 I also missed the feeling of pulling a rare card from a pack. That moment of anticipation when you don't know what you're going to get. So I thought, what if your camera was the booster pack, and the real world was the card set? Collector AI uses on-device AI (Apple's FoundationModels + MobileCLIP) to identify objects, generate unique card descriptions, and roll rarity — all without uploading a single photo. Everything happens on your phone. The part I'm most proud of: every card is genuinely unique. Not a template with a swapped photo, each one gets its own combination of background, texture, frame, shimmer effect, and visual style. Over 7 million possible designs for Common cards alone. Legendary cards? Only 1,024 possible looks. Some nerdy details if you're curious: - Two-phase pipeline: card appears in ~1 second (segmentation), then stats/rarity fill in from the LLM - Gyroscope-driven holographic shimmer that shifts when you tilt your phone - Rarity is a cascade dice roll, the LLM suggests a tier, then each level has a % chance to stick or drop I'd love to hear what you scan first. Drop a screenshot of your rarest pull! 🎲
