Cognira
Better thinking, better answers.
cognira is a free, self-learning AI assistant served from one 16GB iMac. Teach it in a sentence, see exactly what stuck. cognira Entity is the local product that runs the same models on your machine.
Hey hunters — maker here.
This used to be called ConwAI. That was the alpha name: messy, private, half-working. cognira is the live product.
It’s a self-learning AI that updates from useful chats without letting one bad reply rewrite the model. You correct it, rate it, or explain something once. Confirmed meaning lands in private memory in that same conversation. Sensitive, sloppy, or down-rated stuff never enters the queue. Weight updates only run when there’s a clean batch and the checks pass.
Not a wrapper. Hosted chat is served from models I train and run myself — cognira Retrain 12B and Omega 188M — on a living-room iMac with MLX. cognira Entity is the local version: inference, memory, optional retraining on your disk. Nothing leaves.
Free hosted chat, no card. OpenAI-compatible API at api.cognira.dev (£1.50 / 1M tokens).
If you remember ConwAI, this is that idea shipped. Teach it something once, ask it again, and tell me what stuck.

Who hunted Cognira?
Cognira was hunted by Thomas Conway. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
