After months of learning from our pilot program and weeks of building, I’m super excited to launch CoffeeSpace i.e. a “Tinder/Hinge-like platform to meet others exploring ideas and to find your cofounder” (https://coffeespace.com/) to the PH community and broader public today.
Some of our key features:
- Receive daily recommendations, swipe, and if both of you accept, you can start chatting!
- You can filter for specific things like prior experience selling/cofounding/working in a startup, timeline preferences, idea commitment level, and equity preferences
- Show off your personality via prompts that allow others to peek into your motivation to build, working style, etc.
We believe this is a crucial space to tackle because 60% of people have thought of a startup or business idea, but 92% don’t go forward with it. This is due to a few reasons, like: 1) Not having all the skill sets, 2) Not having enough time, 3) Not knowing how to get started. But most, if not all, of this is at least partially if not fully solved by finding the right cofounder or person to explore that idea with.
And I know this because I experienced it myself until I found my cofounder (Carin). So we know that two strangers passionate about the same problem space can build and create together. And that you’re 10X more likely to do something about your idea when you have a partner.
