Co-oto

The app for sharing a car with people you trust.

You share a car with your partner, roommates, or neighbors but coordination happens on WhatsApp or not at all. Co-oto gives your shared vehicle its own space: reservations, trip logging, automatic cost splitting, and group management. No marketplace, no strangers, no rental fees. Just your people, your car, organized. Available on iOS & Android in several languages.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Deniz, solo founder of "Co-oto car sharing", based in Switzerland. Here's how it started! My partner and I were sharing our car with neighbors. Great idea in theory: one less car to buy, less money spent, better for everyone. But in practice? Coordination was quite complicated... Who has the car this weekend? Where was it parked in the street the last time it was used by the neighbors? Did someone refuel? How do we split costs fairly? Everything happened through WhatsApp, mental notes, and goodwill. I looked for an app to handle this and found nothing very convincing. Turo, Getaround, BlaBlaCar… they're all built for strangers and for sharing cars on the short term. But millions of people already share vehicles on the long run with people they know and trust: family, roommates, neighbors, colleagues. You can use several tools combined (Calendar + messenger + Google maps), but very few tools exist that combine them all. So I built Co-oto. It gives your shared vehicle its own dedicated space: reservations, trip logging, automatic cost splitting, and group management. No marketplace, no strangers, no rental fees. Just your people, your car, organized. The bigger picture? Not every household needs its own car. But sharing only works when coordination is effortless. That's what Co-oto makes possible. A few numbers: - approximately 1000 monthly active users across Europe/Canada/USA - 8 languages supported - Launched with my partner, then built entirely solo (design, code, marketing, support) - Free to start, paid plans from €4.90/month This is my first Product Hunt launch and I'd genuinely love your feedback. What's missing? What would make you actually use this? I'm here all day :) Try it free with all features for 21 days!
