Cloudflare just released Clairic, and I think the idea behind it is pretty interesting.
We're using LLMs for all sorts of tasks that don't really need text generation — extracting invoice totals, reading dates, pulling information from documents, etc.
Clairic is built specifically for that kind of work. It returns structured values in a single pass, without generating tokens one by one.
It's also just $0.10 per million input tokens on Workers AI.
Still an early preview, but I'm curious to see how these smaller, specialized models change the way we build AI applications.
