I'm excited to share CLIPO with you today.
The idea behind CLIPO came from a simple question: why do we have to upload our personal photos to external servers just to remove a background?
Most background editing tools rely heavily on cloud processing, which often means privacy concerns, upload limits, subscriptions, and waiting for files to be processed. I wanted to explore whether a modern browser could do the same job locally.
That curiosity turned into CLIPO - a privacy-first, browser-based AI background remover and editor. Your images stay on your device while AI runs directly in the browser. You can remove backgrounds, add custom colors, gradients, or image backgrounds, and export your results without sending your photos to a server.
Building CLIPO was also a learning experience. The project evolved from a simple background remover into a complete editing workflow with composition tools, local processing, and a strong focus on user privacy.
