Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built ClipMark because of a habit I couldn't shake: I'd watch a 40-minute lecture, understand every word of it, and have nothing left a week later. Then I'd go back and scrub the whole thing again to find the one explanation I actually needed. ClipMark has one job — help you actually remember what you study on YouTube. Whatever you're studying. Two things I'd point at specifically. **The AI runs inside your browser. Not on our servers.** ClipMark drafts notes using Chrome's built-in on-device model, so your transcripts never leave your laptop. There's no upload step and no inference bill, which is also why AI note drafting is on the free tier instead of behind Pro. If you study licensed course material, or you're just tired of pasting lecture content into someone's API, that's the whole reason this is built the way it is. **Your note is the question. The clip is the answer.** This is the part I'd most like scrutiny on, because it's a genuinely different bet from the other quiz tools. Tools that quiz you on a video generate the questions themselves, from the transcript — you get tested on what the model thought was important. ClipMark does the opposite: it hides the note *you* wrote and replays the exact second, so you're checking your own recall against the primary source. Nobody's paraphrase sits between you and the explanation. On the obvious question: ClipMark doesn't replace Anki, it feeds it. I use both. Anki is where a card lives for years; ClipMark is what I use before the card exists, while I'm still in the video. The free tier is a real allowance, not a teaser — unlimited local bookmarks, notes, tags and on-device AI note drafting, 25 moments enrolled in Active Recall at a time, 30 reviews a month, and 10 Anki exports a month.
