I'm building Canva apps out of Syscon Australia (Melbourne). Click-to-Cut came out of a problem I kept running into with my own design work: cutting an object — a face, hair, a car — out of a photo usually means switching to a separate background-removal tool, waiting on a cloud AI model, and losing your Canva workflow in the process.
Click-to-Cut does the segmentation right inside Canva, on local resources — no AI model call, no upload-and-wait. You get clean, editable segments you can move, resize, or restyle as separate layers straight away.
It's the second app from Syscon Australia — HexGrid Overlay is already live on Canva — and I built Click-to-Cut the same way: solve a real friction point in my own design process first, then ship it as a Canva app so anyone else hitting the same wall can use it too.
