Hi Product Hunt community! 🍳🦀
I’m a software engineer and I created ClawCook because I was tired of staring into my fridge, seeing a random mix of ingredients, and having absolutely no idea what to cook. I wanted to build a simple, cute, and no-nonsense tool that helps people reduce food waste, save money, and find instant recipe inspiration based strictly on what they already have at home.
This is a 100% independent project. After finishing my IT degree, I decided to build and launch this platform completely from scratch—handling the backend architecture, database management, and mobile frontend design all by myself.
Our mascot is a little mint-green crab named Jonatán, and he’s officially ready to help you in the kitchen!
The app is completely free and is now live on both Google Play and the App Store.
Since this is my first major public launch, I would absolutely love to hear your professional feedback, feature ideas, or any thoughts you have on the UI/UX and functionality.
Thank you so much for supporting an independent developer. Happy cooking! 🚀💚

Who hunted ClawCook?
ClawCook was hunted by Zuzana Botková. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
