Hello Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm Anshuman, and I'm thrilled to introduce Clauge today!
Clauge is a 6MB macOS app that adds purpose-driven modes to Claude Code. You create a session with a purpose — Claude adapts its behavior and stays in that mode for the entire conversation.
The five modes:
🧠 Brainstorming — Explores approaches and tradeoffs, won't write code
🛠 Development — Clean, focused changes that follow your patterns and verify each step
🔍 Code Review — Finds bugs, security issues, and edge cases with specific file references
🔀 PR Review — Reviews the full branch diff before you merge
🐛 Debugging — Reproduce → hypothesize → verify → fix. No guessing.
The key feature: Run multiple modes in parallel on the same project. Brainstorming in one session, development in another — automatically isolated with no file conflicts.
Other highlights:
Session and weekly usage limits visible in the menu bar
Embedded terminal with instant switching between sessions
Sessions grouped by project
6MB, built with Rust + Tauri
Signed & notarized, with self-update support
Open source: github.com/ansxuman/Clauge
macOS only for now. Curious which modes would be most useful for your workflow — the five I built match how I work, but I'm open to ideas!
