ClaudeNotch
Your MacBook's notch tells you when Claude is down
Free, open-source macOS menu bar app that watches status.claude.com. When an incident is published, a Dynamic-Island-style alert slides out of the MacBook notch showing exactly what's broken, and the screen edges pulse red. Hover the notch any time for live per-component status. Native Swift/SwiftUI, ~500 KB, no Electron, no analytics, MIT.
Hi Product Hunt! I built ClaudeNotch after one too many "wait, is it me or is Claude down?" spirals.
Instead of tabbing to status.claude.com, the MacBook notch itself answers: when an incident is published, a Dynamic-Island-style alert springs down showing what's broken, the screen edges pulse red (the flash even outlines the notch), and hovering the notch shows live per-component status any time.
Fun detail: I built it with Claude Code — partly so I'd know when Claude Code itself is down.
Free, MIT-licensed, native Swift (~500 KB, no Electron, no analytics). Would love feedback — especially from multi-monitor users and anyone who wants other status pages supported!
