CineLinkr
The daily movie puzzle for people who think they know film
CineLinkr is a free daily puzzle for film lovers. 16 movies appear on screen and your job is to find four hidden groups of four. They might share a director, a genre, a plot device, or something sneakier hiding in the titles. You get four mistakes. No account, no ads, nothing to install. Play once a day, feel smart or get humbled. There's a sister site called PixelLinkr that runs the same format for video games.
Hey PH! I'm Marc, I built CineLinkr after playing NYT Connections too many times and wishing there was a version for films specifically. The format works really well for cinema. There are so many ways movies connect that aren't obvious until the right four land in front of you together. A trivia card after each solved group felt like the right payoff.
It's been running daily for a while now and I built a sister site called PixelLinkr alongside it, which does the same thing for video games.
Both are completely free. No account, no ads. If you play today's puzzle and have a theme idea, there's a "Nominate a Theme" page. Some of the best puzzles have come from community suggestions.
Happy to answer any questions!
