Chimerical

The workspace that builds itself

Every PM tool works the same way: here are our tools, now contort your work to them. Chimerical inverts that. Describe what you're working on in plain language. Chimerical classifies your intent and assembles a fully configured workspace around your answer - no setup required. You begin each project in a creative ideation space. The canvas then pays attention, speaks rarely in a calm voice, and surfaces observations about the bigger picture. Built from zero to 1.0 in six weeks. Available now.

Hey y'all! I built Chimerical because I kept running into the same wall with every PM tool I've ever used. They all have the same assumption baked in: "you know what you need to plan, so here are some tools that *might* work." Oh, and it ends up being barely ~80% of what you need and then you have to force or give up on the remainder, leading to frustration. Real work starts with a problem you're trying to solve, a project that's half-formed, and a wall full of sticky notes that haven't become tasks yet. It's messy before it's structured, and then you can't ideate and be creative within one space; you have to plan in one, draw in another, while referencing a pile of sticky notes and a whiteboard... it's a mess. So I built the opposite of all this. You describe your problem or project. Chimerical then figures out what kind of workspace you need and builds it for you. No setup. And then it keeps paying attention - quietly, consistently - and tells you things you might not have thought of. That's the thing I'm most proud of, something I call Canvas Awareness. The canvas observes how you work: what you touch, what you leave behind, and how your thinking evolves. It speaks in one consistent voice, and it never directs you. Not a chatbot; it's more like a muse pointing things out. It just notices things - and occasionally, it says something that makes you realize the canvas has been understanding your project more deeply than you expected, getting you through a blocker or inspiring the next idea. I've had this vision in my head for almost a decade, and went from first line of code to public beta in 9 days thanks to Claude Code. It felt right to build an AI-native PM tool that way. Then launch day (today!) in just 6 weeks from that moment. What you're seeing today is real and it works, and there's a lot more coming. It's a strong and simple foundation to build off of, and I hope you love it. Would also love to hear what y'all think. What would make this the only PM tool you'd ever need?

Who hunted Chimerical?

Chimerical was hunted by Nick Laborde. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
