Hey Product Hunt! 👋 We built CheckThenList around a simple problem: marketplace sellers often discover listing risks **after** a product is rejected, restricted, or flagged. We wanted to move that check earlier — before publishing. CheckThenList currently supports TikTok Shop, Amazon, Etsy, and Walmart. Sellers can check individual listings, run batch checks, review suggested rewrites, and analyze marketplace violation notices to better understand what may have gone wrong and what to do next. But the part we care most about is what happens underneath the AI. CheckThenList is not built around a generic prompt asking an LLM whether a listing “looks compliant.” We maintain a marketplace-specific **rules engine and policy data layer**, with rules traced back to official marketplace policies. Those policy sources are reviewed and updated as platforms change their requirements. AI is used as the understanding layer: it interprets the seller’s actual listing content, combines that context with the relevant platform rules, and helps explain potential risks in a way sellers can act on. The goal is to make every meaningful result answer three questions: **What looks risky? Why might it be risky? What can I change before publishing?** Where possible, CheckThenList also surfaces the underlying official policy source, so users can verify the reasoning instead of relying on a black-box AI answer. We’re still early, and we deliberately don’t claim to cover every marketplace rule or guarantee that a listing will be approved. We’d rather build a narrower system that is explainable, source-backed, and useful than pretend AI can make compliance decisions with certainty. I’d especially love feedback on: 1. Are the risk explanations clear enough to act on? 2. Are the official policy sources useful in your workflow? 3. Which marketplace or risk category should we expand next? 4. Would batch checking or violation-notice analysis be more valuable for your workflow? Thanks for checking out CheckThenList — we’d love to hear how you currently review listings before they go live.
