Checkstack
The modern status page & monitoring platform
Self-hosted, source-available status page and uptime monitoring with 13+ health checks, SLOs, incident management, GitOps and multi-channel alerts.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built Checkstack because every time I had to set up monitoring and a status page for a small team, I ended up either paying real money per node to a SaaS vendor or stitching together two or three open-source tools that each stopped at one piece of the puzzle. Uptime pings here, SLOs there, incident management nowhere.
The first version was just better health checks: HTTP, TCP, DNS, the usual suspects. Then I realized I kept getting paged for outages that weren't actually mine. So dependency modeling went in. Then SLOs, because once you can attribute downtime to the right system, error budgets actually mean something. Then incidents and maintenance windows had to live next to the systems they affected, otherwise I was back to context-switching between tools.
It's source-available under ELv2, not OSI open source. You can self-host, modify, and redistribute freely; you just can't run it as a competing managed service. I want to be honest about that upfront.
Would genuinely love feedback, especially from anyone running SLOs in production. The dependency attribution model is the part I'd most like to stress test.
