Hi Product Hunt, I'm the maker behind CheckPassportPhoto.
I built this because it is surprisingly hard to tell whether a DIY passport photo will pass before you pay to print it. Most problems are small: the head is a little too high, the background is not quite white, or glasses are still on. You often find out only when the photo is rejected.
CheckPassportPhoto checks those details against the official US rules. It measures the framing, head size, and eye position, checks the background and expression, flags glasses, and can turn the result into a print-ready 2x2-inch file.
Privacy mattered here. Passport photos are sensitive, so the checks run in your browser. Your photo is not uploaded to our server, and you do not need an account to run the check.
The checker is free. The final watermark-free, print-ready file is $2.99. I also want to be clear about the limit: no automated check can guarantee what a passport officer will decide. The tool catches issues a camera can measure and explains what to fix before you print.
