I built Chatrix Web Chat to solve a problem I kept running into — most live chat tools for WordPress rely heavily on third-party services, subscriptions, and external data storage.
I wanted something different: a fully self-hosted solution where site owners have complete control over their data, performance, and user experience.
During development, I focused on three core things:
• Keeping everything inside WordPress (no external dependencies)
• Designing a clean, modern chat interface that feels premium
• Supporting rich communication like voice notes, images, and documents
What started as a simple chat widget evolved into a full conversation system with a dedicated inbox inside WP admin.
