ChartRecap
Trading journal that reads your chart, not just your numbers
Every trading journal logs your entry, exit, and P&L — but none capture the chart you were actually looking at when you pulled the trigger. ChartRecap freezes the chart at the moment you trade, and AI reads the setup and grades it A–F: pattern, entry quality, the bear case you ignored. Free to start, all assets, no card.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I trade. And every journal I tried had the same blind spot: it logs your numbers but throws out the one thing that explains the trade, the chart itself. So I built ChartRecap.
Two ideas behind it.
First, capture instead of reconstruct. One click saves the exact chart you traded, symbol, timeframe, and the candle you were staring at, into your journal while the setup is still live. From TradingView with our Chrome extension, from MT5 with our helper or from the built-in terminal.
Second, AI that reads the chart, not only the stats. It grades your setup A to F, spots the pattern and shows your win rate for it, walks through where your plan and your exit went separate ways, argues the other side before you click buy, and can even turn a screenshot into a drafted trade.
The journal is genuinely free. Capture, analytics, plan-vs-execution review, trade replay, broker import. No card, no trade limit. The AI is the part that lives on Pro.
I'd love your feedback, especially from other traders. What does your current journal miss? 🙏

Who hunted ChartRecap?
ChartRecap was hunted by Alex Fenn. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
