I'm Adi. Four years ago I moved to the US with no SSN, no credit history, and not a single credit card. So when I began my search for my very first card, I came across points, got obsessed, and taught myself the whole game solo. Today I have 17 cards, 500,000+ points, and $2M+ in annual credit.
But I learned the hard part fast: earning points is easy, using them well is a nightmare. To book one flight the smart way, here's what I used to do by hand:
