Hi, I'm Michael. Long-time lurker in UKPersonalFinance, BeerMoneyUK and in a few other finance communities - I've been an active spreadsheet user for years but wanted something a bit more structured.
I tried the mainstream apps. Most of them want open banking access, charge a lot for basic features, or are clearly monetising your financial data in some way. None of them felt right for someone who just wants a clean picture of their finances without the baggage.
So I built my own. It started as something personal - literally hardcoded to my own situation - until a friend pointed out it could be useful to other people. A few reworks later, here we are.
