Cedra System

Prepare your Debian workstation with operational knowledge

Cedra prepares a Debian workstation beyond apt install. It combines software, system configuration, desktop integration, security policies, and repairable state behind a simple GTK interface. Before changes are applied, Cedra shows what will happen and what stays untouched.

Top comment

I built Cedra because setting up a Linux workstation always felt like two separate jobs. The first job was installing the software. The second was remembering everything that should happen after that: Git defaults, SSH settings, browser policies, file associations, terminal configuration, fonts, application policies, Docker settings, and all the small pieces that make a machine actually ready for work. Cedra is my attempt to capture that operational knowledge in a tool that can be reused and repaired instead of rebuilding it by hand every time. It is intentionally Debian-focused, open source, and conservative about what it changes. Before Prepare runs, Cedra tells you what it expects to change and what it will leave alone. This is the first public release, so I would especially love feedback on one question: **After using Cedra, does the computer actually feel more ready to work?**
