Hey everyone! 👋
I'm Yash, and I built CatchMeUp because I kept opening WhatsApp only to find hundreds of unread messages. Reading through everything took too much time and effort, but I still wanted to know what actually happened.
Just imagine opening WhatsApp in the morning and seeing 842 unread messages. Scrolling through hundreds of messages is frustrating, and finding the important discussions buried under spam, memes, and casual chats can take hours. I kept thinking—there has to be a better way.
So I built CatchMeUp. Simply export a WhatsApp chat, choose a time range, and get a concise catch-up of everything that matters. Once you've caught up, you can even ask follow-up questions about the conversation.
CatchMeUp currently works through exported WhatsApp chats because WhatsApp doesn't provide a direct integration for features like this.
It's still in beta and runs on totally free infrastructure, so responses may occasionally be slower than I'd like. My focus right now is learning from real users and making the experience better. I have tried to simple architecture simple and clear.
In regards of privacy : Your exported chats. Your control. CatchMeUp doesn't even have a database.
