Hey Product Hunt 👋
I kept four trackers going: MyAnimeList for anime, Letterboxd for films,
Backloggd for games, Goodreads for books. Different scales, different lists, and
no way to answer a simple question — what did I actually finish this year, across
everything?
So I built the thing I wanted. Cataloggd is one catalog and one 10-point score
for anime, manga, TV, movies, games, comics and books — 316,899 titles so far.
One search box hits every medium at once (search "zelda" and you get the games
and the manga). Tracking adapts per type: episodes and chapters where that makes
sense, hours played, device and 100%'d for games.
The part I'm proudest of is unglamorous: the data. Every medium runs on a source
that's actually licensed for this — AniList, TVMaze, Simkl, IGDB, Open Library —
and when a comics provider cut us off mid-build, I rebuilt that catalogue from
the Grand Comics Database with a self-hosted cover pipeline. 316k titles, no
scraped-and-hope.
Tracking is unlimited on the free plan and always will be. Pro is themes and
extras — never a cap on your own list.
You can bring your history with you: MyAnimeList XML and Trakt zip imports are
built in.
I'd love to know what you'd track first, and what's missing. I'm here all day.
