I built Career Janus after watching friends in stable, well-paid jobs spiral into anxiety every time an AI headline dropped — but with no real way to know if their specific role was actually at risk.
Generic AI risk articles tell you 85 million jobs will be displaced. None of them answer the real question: what does that mean for me, specifically?
The scoring engine uses task-level automation research from Oxford and the WEF — not just job titles. A Head of Marketing scores Low risk. A Junior Marketing Assistant scores High. Same job family, completely different exposure.
The biggest lesson building this: 80% of users were on mobile and nobody has their CV on their phone. So I built a 5-question alternative path that generates a report almost as accurate as a CV upload. That dropped our bounce rate from 70% to under 50%.
