Hey Product Hunt!
Cardtacular has been about 20 years in the making.
When I was a teenager, I reached the age where I was expected to buy birthday cards for friends and family. Spending $5 on a card that someone would probably throw away felt like a waste, so I started making my own.
I'd open a Word document, find memes that poked fun at the birthday person, add some inside jokes, print it out, fold it into a card, and bring it to the party.
The reactions were always great. The birthday person loved it, but the unexpected part was that everyone else wanted to see it, too. My cards would get passed around the room as people laughed at the memes and jokes. Eventually, people started looking forward to seeing what I'd come up with.
The only problem? Making the cards was a pain.
Fast-forward about 20 years, and I was still dealing with finicky printers and the hassle of adding and formatting images in Word. I tried other digital card creators, but many felt unnecessarily complicated, and making a card often took longer than it should.
I figured there had to be a better way.
Having learned web development in college, I teamed up with my brother to build Cardtacular. My original idea was to let people create a downloadable HTML file that could contain everything I wanted in a card: animations, GIFs, and even voice messages.
But we ran into a problem. HTML files don't always play nicely with email and text messages, so sharing the cards wasn't as simple as I'd hoped.
My brother suggested a different approach: host the cards online and let people share them through a link. That became the core experience. You can still download your card as an HTML file to keep for yourself, but sharing it with someone is now as simple as sending a link.
That pivot helped shape Cardtacular into what it is today: a place where you can quickly create personalized digital greeting cards with memes, GIFs, photos, and voice messages, without wrestling with documents or printers.
What started as my own way of making people laugh has turned into something my brother and I hope others can use to make their friends and family feel special, too. We've put a ton of work into getting Cardtacular to this point, and we're excited to finally share it with everyone.
If you've ever made someone a card using an inside joke, an embarrassing photo, or a meme that absolutely roasted them, you get the idea.
Give Cardtacular a try and let us know what you think! We'd genuinely love to hear your feedback and see what you create.

Who hunted Cardtacular?
Cardtacular was hunted by Cameron. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
