Honestly I started building Canvasvid because I needed an explainer video for a project and couldn't justify spending $3K on one. Tried a few AI tools and they all gave me the same thing like stock footage with my text on it. Felt like a PowerPoint.
So I went down the rabbit hole of building one that actually produces the whole video from scratch. Script, characters, scenes, animation, voiceover, music, subtitles with all generated, nothing stock.
Is it perfect? No. Some styles work better than others and we're still improving the output quality. But it works, and it's way better than what I was getting elsewhere.
