Can I afford it?
See how risky a purchase is before you buy it
Can I Afford It is a free tool that checks a purchase against your actual income, not a generic rule of thumb. Type in almost anything - a car, a wedding, IVF, a business loan, braces - and it weighs the cost against your monthly budget and shows a plain risk bar: low, moderate, elevated, or high. No sign-up required to use it. If you do create an account, it grows into a full budgeting toolkit: an expense calendar that lays out every bill by due date, a debt payoff planner, and much more.

Hey Product Hunt! I built this because every "can I afford X" calculator I found online either assumed a fixed salary bracket or buried the real math behind an email-gate. I wanted something that just asks your actual income and gives you a straight answer against your own numbers, for anything, not just houses and cars. Everything runs locally in your browser by default - no account needed to try it. Would love feedback on what's missing or what feels off.
