Hi! I'm Darcy, a high school senior from SoCal building Calyxa.
Calyxa is the browser-native adaptive AI tutor that lives on the student's screen. It is compatible and works directly on the student's existing schoolwork, including homework from Google Classroom, Khan Academy, Canvas, AP Classroom, and more.
Calyxa is aiming to solve the AI cheating problem at school. From my own observation at school, majority of students use AI as shortcut for homework because they don't have enough time, not because they don't want to put in the effort to understand the concepts. Calyxa aims to solve this problem by combining the speed of AI (by being browser native, detect question and predict the student's misconception in < 5 seconds, respond in voice in < 1 second) and a real human tutor's understanding of their students (adaptive model, student performance profile, on-screen annotations, study material follow-ups).
