CallMe
A better way to talk to your real friends.
CallMe lets you and your friends share when you're free to talk - no feed, no likes, no algorithms. Just real phone calls with people you actually care about. Social media was supposed to keep us connected. Instead it gave us likes, algorithms, ads and the anxiety of a never-ending feed. CallMe is a bet that the best way to stay close to someone is still just calling them. Let your friends know you're free, or open the app when you have 20 minutes and see who you can actually call.

When it comes to my friends, I've always been a phone call person. Not texts, not DMs, but actual calls. I like to say to people, "I thought of you, so I called you." The problem is that most people aren't free when inspiration strikes, so they end up with a rambling voicemail from me instead. A few years ago, I was driving to the airport and called my friend Josh because I had 30 minutes to kill and he was free. We caught up, it was great, and I kept thinking that it'd be so useful to know when the people you actually care about have 15 minutes for a phone call. So I sat down, planned it out and over a few months created CallMe to fill that void. But I'm a one-man-army here, so if you have a few minutes and want to poke around, I'd genuinely love your take on the idea, the experience, what's broken, what's missing. Thank you!
