I built Calendi after talking to lash artists who managed everything through Instagram DMs. They had clients. One open slot would get five messages at the same time, and the stylist spent the rest of the day sending "sorry, that's taken" to four of them. She already knew how to run her business — she just needed the bookings to stop landing in her DMs. Other booking platforms charge 3-4x more per month, put you inside a marketplace you don't need, and require clients to install an app. Every artist I talked to said the same thing: people don't want to install anything. So I built a booking link. The stylist shares it in her Instagram bio. Clients open it in the browser, pick a slot, and book. She opens her calendar and knows what's coming. I built this solo, talked to stylists throughout, and launched with real paying users.
