At my previous startup, Makenica, many RFQs arrived over Gmail with CAD files attached. Reviewing them meant downloading attachments and opening a desktop CAD application — sometimes multiple files just to find the right one. When I was traveling, that often wasn't practical. That frustration led me to build CAD Viewer. It lets you preview STEP, IGES, STL, and OBJ attachments directly in Gmail, so you can quickly identify the right file before downloading it. Everything runs entirely in your browser, so your CAD files never leave your device. Under the hood, it's powered by OpenCascade compiled to WebAssembly. I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas for future integrations or CAD formats.
