Hi Product Hunt, I'm Gino. Byna is a hobby. I work in marketing during the day and I'd wanted to build an app for years, but never had the time to properly learn Swift or Kotlin. With AI tools that barrier got a lot lower, so I finally built one of the ideas I'd been carrying around. Yes, it's a countdown app, and I know there are a lot of those. The reason I picked this idea out of my list is that I wanted something I couldn't find: sharing a countdown with someone, but without all the noise of existing apps or services. It's probably one of the easier picks from my wish-list of apps I wanted to build. But sharing a countdown to something you're looking forward to, is something I couldn't find an existing service for that matched my and my friends wishes. Not screenshot a website, filled with ads, but a link to a clean site they can open, after which it shows up in their app too. My partner follows our vacation countdown, a group of friends follows a countdown to a festival we'll go to. It's on iOS, Android and the web. Free, no ads, no account needed. I haven't really thought about monetization, I first want to see if people other than my friends use it. Curious what you think, especially if you already use a countdown app. What would make you switch, or not?
