Hi Product Hunt! I'm a solo developer and Burrr.io is my first game. Every player is a drill inside a round planet. Underground you can't see anyone, but engines carry through the rock, and sound waves on the screen show where someone is digging. So the strongest move is often doing nothing: hold Shift, kill your engine, wait in a side tunnel and let someone drill right past you. The engine takes a moment to start again, so every ambush is a bet. The ground is a live simulation: sand falls and buries you, a lake floods the tunnel you cut under it, water meets lava and sets into stone. Dig deep enough and you come out on the other side of the planet. Three modes: free-for-all, capture the flag, and hide and seek, where seekers hunt by sound and whoever is found joins them. Bring up to three friends as a squad with an invite link. Under the hood: a Go server runs the simulation, the browser client is TypeScript + PixiJS with the terrain drawn in a shader. The map is never sent over the network: server and browser generate the same planet from a seed, bit for bit. That's why the server runs on x86: on ARM, Go fuses multiply-adds into one instruction with a different rounding, and the two planets drift apart. No download or sign-up, desktop or phone (held sideways): https://burrr.io/ I'd love feedback on the first minute: did you figure out sound and silence without being told? I'm in the game today, so if you meet a drill sitting silent in a tunnel, it might be me.
