browle

Find verified European alternatives to everyday US brands

browle is a trilingual (EN/DE/FR) directory of 535 products genuinely made in Europe and Switzerland. Every listing links a public source proving where it's manufactured — because "European brand" and "made in Europe" are very different things. Search by the US product you want to replace, or browse 22 categories. Transparency cuts both ways: /not-listed documents famous names we checked but couldn't (yet) list — with sources and verified European alternatives.

Why we built it: the buy-European movement exploded in 2025, but most directories are English-only and list brands by HQ, not by where things are actually made. browle verifies manufacturing claims and covers three languages. Two things we haven't seen elsewhere: scope badges (when a made-in claim covers only specific lines or the majority of production, the entry says so — in the brand's own words), and a public not-listed page for the brands that didn't hold up — like an iconic Swiss bottle that's no longer made in Switzerland, or a legendary Italian slicer now built in Chennai. Sources linked on both sides. It's free; some outbound links are affiliate links (disclosed in the footer). The longer answer to "why does where it's made matter?" is at browle.com/en/why. Roadmap: more categories, user submissions.

Who hunted browle?

browle was hunted by browle. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
