BrightNews

A positive news aggregator for a more balanced world

BrightNews surfaces credible positive stories from around the world without the usual doomscrolling.

Top comment

Hi everyone 👋 I am the maker of BrightNews, positive news aggregator app. I built this because I realized I was avoiding news completely for a while, not because I didn’t care, but because it was just too overwhelming. Most apps and sites seem to focus on the same cycle of negativity, and it started to feel exhausting. So I wanted to try something different. BrightNews is a simple news aggregator that focuses only on positive, constructive, and meaningful stories, things about science, health, communities, innovation, and progress. The goal isn’t to ignore reality, but to bring some balance back into how we stay informed. Right now it’s still an early version, and I’m building it solo, so I’m really looking for honest feedback: * Does this kind of news experience make sense to you? * Would you actually use something like this regularly? There’s also an Android app live, and I recently launched a small Indiegogo campaign to validate the idea further. Really appreciate you taking a look
