Brickbrag
A massively multiplayer brick sandbox with real physics
Brickbrag is a multiplayer brick sandbox: build anything you can imagine, brick by brick, together with everyone online. The bricks behave like real ones. They have weight, they only hold where studs hold them, and if your overhang is too big, it comes down. Find coins and trade them for new bricks. Need a break? Race on the track, fly from the airfield or ride robot-driven buses out to the volcano. Play free on desktop or phone, right in your browser.
building a real massively multiplayer game has been my dream for a really lone time 🎮 I’ve made websites and little browser games for years, but I always got stuck on the details, the networking among them. It had to feel as smooth as any “real” online game, client side prediction and all, and the projects quietly died along the way.
What makes Brickbrag different: it’s a realistic brick sandbox. Bricks have weight, gravity pulls on them, and they only hold where real studs would hold them. You can’t just place a brick in mid-air, and if your overhang is too big, it comes down 😅 That makes it super fun to experiment with, and it’s why the beautiful buildings people make actually feel like real builds.
This time, with AI on my side, I finally pulled it off. It helped me exactly where I always used to get stuck.
Two days ago I put Brickbrag on Hacker News, and over 3,000 people have played since 🤯 Thanks to tons of feedback from those first players, I’ve already added quests and badges and made building way better on phone and desktop.
Brickbrag is free to play, not pay to play. Coins can’t be bought: you find them in the world, get them from other players, or from me if you build something really cool (ping me @neuling2k 😄). Want to support the game? Sponsor a billboard in the city. That gets your logo seen, but no coins.
Some technical details for those who are interested: the world is made of 2.4 million bricks, every single one can be taken apart, and it all renders in real time right in your browser. Making that fast was a big chunk of the work: the world is split into chunks, and you only get updates for what’s actually near you. Built with three.js, real-time multiplayer over WebSockets on a single DigitalOcean server, and every brick is a real part from the open LDraw parts library.
What would you love to see in the game next? Feedback in any direction is super welcome!
Cheers, Moritz

Brickbrag was hunted by Moritz Kobrna. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
