Hi Product Hunt, I’m Jigme, the designer and founder behind BREATHmg.
I built this because I needed it myself.
I live with bipolar disorder and ADHD, so I’m familiar with unwanted internal noise. I’ve never liked the term “mental illness” because it can make something sound like a problem you simply get over. For me, it’s something I’ve learned to live with and, in some ways, turn into a superpower.
I’m also half Tibetan and grew up around Buddhism, so meditation should have felt natural. It didn’t. I understood the value, but sitting still and trying to clear my mind usually left me more frustrated than calm.
Breathwork was different. It gave my mind something physical and structured to follow, so I could feel the shift instead of forcing stillness.
When I’m physically anxious, ruminating, or mentally racing, breathing gives me something immediate to do. The breath and cleansing visualization interrupt the spiral long enough for me to come back to myself. Breathwork doesn’t cure that noise or replace care, but for me, it turns the volume down. The noise may return, but it’s no longer the only thing in the room.
By practicing repeatedly, I gradually gained more control over that noise. That experience became the foundation of BREATHmg. I reverse-engineered the path that got me there into a structured program other people could follow.
What I found elsewhere often felt built for coaches and experienced practitioners, not beginners. There was no clear path showing what to do or how to build it into daily life.
So the recordings I made for myself grew into a system: five gears for shifting your state, organized into a progressive 60-day program with 17 guided audio modules. Each includes an immersive ambient sound bed layered with a consistent 40 Hz binaural beat.
As a product designer, I treated the barrier to entry as an onboarding problem: reduce uncertainty, make progression visible, and always give beginners a clear next step.
I built My BREATHmg around that idea so people can practice, track their progress, save private notes, and stay accountable through a Buddy Circle without already knowing the language of breathwork.
I’d especially love feedback on the beginner experience: Does the five-gear system make breathwork easier to understand? Does BREATHmg give you enough guidance to feel comfortable starting?
