I have spent years running an agency that helps clients rank, in SEO and now increasingly in GEO, getting them seen and recommended inside AI engines (a2zweb.co).
About a year/two ago the questions from clients changed. It stopped being only "where do we rank on Google" and became "what does ChatGPT say about us, why is it recommending a competitor, and how do we fix it." Fair questions. The kind I get paid to answer.
The problem was the tooling. We had our own way of doing this. Our own audit method, our own way of monitoring how AI describes a brand over time, and our own playbook for the changes that actually move the needle inside AI answers.
