Boroughly

Find where to live in London, based on your actual life

Property sites start with the house. Boroughly starts with you. Set your budget, pin the places you need to be near (your mum, work, school), and tick what daily life needs - good schools, a halal butcher, a synagogue, a LGBTQ+ Friendly place, a Lidl, a gym. Boroughly scores all 278 London areas and commuter towns against YOUR criteria on a live map: prices, safety, commutes (live TfL times), and how welcoming an area feels. Draw zones you love, cross out ones you don't. Free, no sign-up.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Imane, a software engineer in London (currently on maternity leave, which is apparently when I build things). When my husband and I were figuring out where to live, every property site answered the wrong question. I didn't need 4,000 listings - I needed to know: where can we afford a 3-bed, near a park and a good nursery, max 30 minutes from his workplace in an area that feels welcoming to everyone? No site answered that. So I built the tool I wanted. The features I'm proudest of: 🗺️ Draw a "no-go zone" on the map and it's gone from your results 📍 "Worth looking 10 minutes further?" - that's literally how we found our own area 🏳️‍🌈 Community ratings for what data misses - like whether an area feels safe at night, is there a really café nearby? It covers 278 areas now, from central London out to the commuter belt. It's completely free, no sign-up. I'd genuinely love your feedback -especially: what criteria matter to you that I haven't thought of? The church, temple and Lidl-vs-Waitrose filters all came from real requests. AMA! 🙌
