I'm Aleksandar, and I've been building products for almost 20 years.
Since 2007, I've worked in startups, and like many developers, I've spent countless nights and weekends building side projects. Over the years, I noticed something frustrating: every new product starts with the same work.
Authentication. Authorization. Security. Background jobs. Event processing. Monitoring. Permissions. Infrastructure.
We keep rebuilding the same foundation over and over again.
What's even more absurd today is that with AI-assisted development, we're wasting huge amounts of tokens generating boilerplate instead of solving real customer problems.
That's why I built **BoringStack**.
Over the years, I accumulated battle-tested code from multiple startups, side projects, and production systems. I decided to consolidate everything into a single, production-ready starter that treats security, reliability, and maintainability as first-class citizens.
The goal is simple: when I start a new product, I want to be 80% done on day one and focus immediately on solving user pain instead of rebuilding plumbing.
I also care deeply about ownership and avoiding vendor lock-in.
BoringStack is fully open source. You can deploy it to your own VPS in minutes (I personally use Hetzner), own your infrastructure, control your costs, and extend every part of the stack without being trapped by a platform or proprietary service.
My ambition is straightforward:
