BOOKIVO

Africa's first social book publishing platform

Most publishing platforms are just storefronts. Bookivo is a social network first — authors build a following through a feed, connect directly with readers, and grow an audience like on any social platform. Readers can also subscribe directly to their favorite authors. Authors publish e-books, paperbacks, and hardcovers, keep up to 90% of royalties, and sell in Naira, Dollars, Pounds, and Euros. Born in Africa, built for authors everywhere. Live since March, 2026. Would love your feedback!

Hey Hunters, I'm Abiodun, founder of Bookivo. I built Bookivo because I watched too many talented African writers get stuck on platforms that treat publishing like a one-way transaction: upload a book, list it, hope someone finds it. There was no way to actually build an audience. Bookivo is a social network first. Authors publish e-books, paperbacks, and hardcovers, but more importantly, they build a following through a feed, connect directly with readers, and grow the way they would on any social platform. Readers can subscribe directly to authors they love. Authors keep up to 90% of their royalties and sell in Naira, Dollars, Pounds, and Euros. We're still early, and every bit of feedback from this community will shape what we build next. I'll be here all day answering questions. Thank you for checking us out. Abiodun Founder, Bookivo

Who hunted BOOKIVO?

BOOKIVO was hunted by Abiodun Ogunsola. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
