Board

A snapshot-of-thought app for ideas before they’re organized

Board is a thought-capture app for dropping in ideas before they’re fully organized. Tags don’t just label cards — they change how cards look, sort, and behave. No folders, no forced structure, no notifications pushing you to act right away.

Top comment

I built Board because I was tired of tools that expect everything to be organized from the start.

A lot of note apps and task apps assume you’ll sort things into folders, lists, priorities, deadlines, and notifications right away. But many thoughts don’t begin that way. They start as fragments, unfinished notes, vague ideas, or things you just want to keep in view for a while.

Board is a place for that stage.

You can drop thoughts in first, then shape them later only when needed. Tags in Board are not just labels — they affect how cards look, sort, and behave. That’s the core idea behind the app.

This release also includes a much clearer tutorial structure, with Starter / Guide / Basic / Extra, so it’s easier to get into the app for the first time.

I’d love to hear how you handle ideas before they become tasks, notes, or documents.

If you want a bit more context on how Board works and why I built it this way, I put together a short FAQ here:
