Blue Marble
A pixel museum of everything on Earth
Blue Marble is a living pixel museum of everything on Earth. You can collect an object, add your name and website, and become part of the museum forever. The long term goal is simple: build a complete museum of Earth, one object at a time. Also, if aliens ever visit, we are keeping a list of humans we might decide to spare.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Blue Marble because I had a strange question: If aliens arrived on Earth tomorrow, how would we explain everything to them? A coffee cup. A toothbrush. A taxi. A banana. A skyscraper. A teddy bear. Blue Marble is my attempt to build that answer. Each object appears only once and becomes part of the museum's permanent collection. You can collect an object and leave your name and website with it, so a small piece of the museum becomes yours. Over time, I hope Blue Marble becomes a complete, strange, beautiful archive of life on Earth. And yes, there is also a list of humans we have decided to spare when the aliens arrive. 👽🌎 I built this as a small internet experiment and would genuinely love to know: What object do you think absolutely has to be included in a museum of Earth?
