Who hunted Blomm?
Blomm was hunted by robin geagea. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hi everyone, I’m Robin, a product designer. I designed and built Blomm on my own.
I wanted a journal that fits into the last minute before sleep. In Blomm a day is one page. Write a few words, add photos or a video, or pick up the pencil and draw, and that day grows a plant in your garden. Over the year you can see which weeks you showed up for.
What’s inside:
A garden with three layouts, from one month to the whole year in a single field
A hand-drawn plant for every kept day, or one you draw yourself
12 inks, six light and six dark, and the app icon changes to match
Onboarding that starts with a packet of seeds you cut open and tilt to pour
Face ID lock with a PIN backup, home screen widgets and a nightly reminder
Any day can be shared as a card, saved to Photos or posted to an Instagram story
Your entries stay on your phone and sync through your own iCloud. Blomm counts how the app is used, never what you write, and you can switch that off in Settings.
It’s free on the App Store. I’d love to hear what you think and what would make you open it every night.
