Hey, I'm Rueil — I built Blare last month. It's a real-time multiplayer word race in the Scattergories family: one letter, five categories, 2–5 players racing to write answers nobody else thinks of. Rarest answers win; a round takes about ten minutes.

I built it because I wanted the game-night experience with zero friction — no download, no accounts, no onboarding. One player creates a room and shares a 5-letter code; everyone else just opens the site and types it in. It's been live a couple of weeks and it's completely free while I figure out whether people actually want it.

Honest question I'd love your take on: is there enough here for you to actually pull it out at a game night, or is it a fun-once curiosity? Anything that felt slow or broken, I'd rather hear now. Happy to answer questions all day.

Who hunted Blare?

Blare was hunted by Rueil Manzambi. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
