Blabr was hunted by Sameer Sharma. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m thrilled to share Blabr with you all today. Today is also my birthday, and shipping this into the world is the best gift to myself! 🎂🚀
Like many of you, I spend hours each day in front of screens juggling code, docs, communications, and deadlines. In high-pressure moments, I often wanted a quick 3-minute Box Breathing session to calm my nervous system and reset my focus.
But every time I reached for an app, I was hit with the same friction: mandatory sign-up walls, email verification, push notifications, and aggressive subscription upsells before I could take a single conscious breath. It felt ironic that tools built to relieve stress were creating friction of their own.
The problem Blabr solves:
Blabr was born out of a desire for extreme minimalism and zero friction:
1. Zero Sign-Up & Zero Tracking: No account creation, no password to remember, and zero behavioral analytics.
2. Native Chrome Side Panel: By building on Chrome's Manifest V3 Side Panel API, Blabr docks right beside your active workspace (IDE, Figma, Notion, spreadsheets) so you don't even have to switch windows or reach for your phone.
3. Science-Backed Basics: Instant access to Box Breathing (4-4-4-4), 4-7-8 Relax, Coherent (5.5s), and deep sighs with soothing 432 Hz bells and Screen Wake Lock support.
4. Pomodoro + Breathwork: A built-in 25-minute focus timer paired with 5-minute breathing resets to prevent burnout during deep work.
Initially, I built Blabr as a simple web utility at blabr.xyz But testing it in real-world workdays made me realize that even opening a new tab or switching windows broke flow state. That led to the Chrome Extension evolution—allowing the breathing visualizer to sit quietly in the side panel whenever cognitive overload hits.
The core breathing utility is completely free and will always stay free.
I’d love to hear your feedback: What breathing patterns do you rely on during stressful work blocks? What features would you like to see next?
Thank you so much for checking out Blabr! 🫁✨
