Bippa

Self-checkout for the clubhouse fridge, paid with MobilePay

Bippa turns any fridge into a self-checkout. Buyers scan the QR code, scan what they take and pay with MobilePay. No app, no till, no cash tin. The club sees what sold, what's running low and where every krone went.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 In Denmark, almost every sports club, office and church hall has a fridge of sodas with a tin next to it. It runs on trust, and it never adds up. Nobody carries coins anymore, people round down, and "I'll MobilePay you later" usually means never. I built Bippa because the problem is everywhere and the fix felt obvious: the payment app is already in everyone's pocket, so the tin is the only thing missing a phone. How it works 1. Print a QR poster and tape it to the fridge. 2. Buyers scan it, scan the barcodes of what they take, and pay with MobilePay. It all happens in the phone's browser, so there's nothing to install. 3. The money goes straight to the club's own MobilePay account. Bippa never holds it and takes no cut. What the people running it get -Stock that counts itself down with every sale, and a ledger of every restock and count A "running low" warning and a Thursday email with the week's takings and a shopping list -Margins per place if you enter cost prices -Roles, so volunteers can restock without seeing the money Pricing: free for one fridge. Clubs and churches pay 99 kr a month, offices 399 kr. No transaction fees from us. Honest limits: Bippa is Denmark-only for now, because it's built on MobilePay. Barcode scanning works in the browser on Android. iPhone buyers search by name instead, because Safari can't read barcodes yet. There are no ads and no third-party tracking: one cookie, and it's the login. I'd love feedback on the buyer flow, from scanning the poster to paying. And if you run a club or office fridge in Denmark, I'd love to hear how you handle it today.
