Hi Hunters! I'm darkinsun, the maker of BingSpotAny. I built this tool out of personal frustration. I was looking for a reliable way to get daily Windows Spotlight and Bing wallpapers on my Linux and macOS setups. However, existing solutions were either outdated, locked into specific desktop environments, or packed with unnecessary tracking. So, I decided to build BingSpotAny. It’s completely open-source, DE-agnostic, and runs silently in the background without draining your system resources. Key Features: True Cross-Platform: Native support for Linux, Windows, and macOS, Privacy First: 100% telemetry-free, Smart Watermark: Elegantly displays the photo's location and story directly on your desktop. Lightweight & Independent: DE-agnostic design (works perfectly across X11/Wayland, XFCE, COSMIC, etc.) without heavy dependencies. I'd love to hear your feedback, bug reports, or feature requests. If you find it useful, a star on GitHub would be very helpful.
