I built this app over the past month with two other friends at Georgia Tech. Here's some backstory: we had the idea after hearing that OpenAI had launched a public API offering the same tech from the ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode announced earlier this year.
We decided to leverage that and ask it to make a realistic Santa Claus impression. And it worked wonders — you can see it for yourself. We have also used the function calling abilities of the API to do something pretty cool: when a child is talking to Santa, it can identify its wishes and add them to a secret list that only parents can access.
